The 2nd Annual Heart of Niko Golf Outing
Our 2nd Annual Heart of Niko Golf Outing brought 192 golfers together at Indianwood Golf & Country Club for a day that celebrated the game of golf and the young athletes at the heart of our mission. Two of our recent grantees joined us for the event, giving attendees the opportunity to connect with the athletes whose lives are being impacted by the Foundation. During the dinner presentation, Gift of Life Michigan shared the powerful impact of organ and tissue donation, followed by one of our grantees, who shared his own story and the difference the Foundation has made in his journey. Together, their stories offered a meaningful reminder of how generosity can change lives. Through the generosity of our golfers, sponsors, donors, and volunteers, the event generated enough funding to help more than 10 young athletes overcome financial barriers and continue competing in baseball, basketball, and softball. The outing was not only a great day on the course, but also a meaningful celebration of the athletes we serve and the community that continues to make a difference in their lives.
The Inaugural Heart of Niko Pickleball Tournament
The 1st Annual Heart of Niko Pickleball Tournament was an incredible day filled with great energy, friendly competition, and a strong sense of community. With full divisions and enthusiastic participation from players, volunteers, sponsors, and supporters, the event raised over $10,000 to support young athletes. Coach Smith shared meaningful stories about how the Foundation is expanding access for talented young athletes and creating opportunities rooted in the kindness, teamwork, and generosity - values that defined Niko. The overwhelming support from everyone involved created an atmosphere reflective of those same values and set the stage for this tournament to become an annual event.
The Inaugural Heart of Niko Golf Outing
Our inaugural golf tournament brought together 124 players and the monies raised directly benefit young athletes in need. The response from the community was both generous and deeply personal, with Coach Webb sharing stories about how access to sports positively shaped the lives of young athletes. This event not only raised critical funds but also sparked lasting connections that will help carry Niko’s legacy forward in meaningful and tangible ways.

Niko created this video the summer after he was diagnosed with his heart condition. He decided to take up golf and was eager to challenge his competitors on the course.
