Codey

Codey is a 9th-grade varsity basketball player at Romulus Summit Academy who has been playing since age 8.

For Codey, basketball is about discipline, brotherhood, faith, and building lasting relationships while pursuing his dreams. He is a proven competitor and has earned multiple honors and recognitions. Known by his coaches as a humble, respectful leader, Codey works hard, supports his teammates, and carries himself with integrity both on and off the court. He comes from a large, sports-driven family and credits his mother and his “village” for their sacrifices and unwavering support.  He aspires to play college and eventually professional basketball. With the Heart of Niko Foundation grant, Codey will be able to continue to develop his skills against elite players at national competitions and continue to pursue his dreams of playing at the next level.

Brandon

Brandon is a 12th-grade varsity baseball player at Gulf Coast High School who has played the sport for over a decade.

Brandon loves baseball for the joy, challenge, and lasting relationships it brings. His coach praises him for his exceptional work ethic, maturity, and determination, noting that he is always the first to arrive and last to leave practice. Brandon values discipline, resilience, and teamwork, and is known as a respectful, supportive teammate who leads by example. With the Heart of Niko Foundation grant, Brandon will be able to obtain a proper brace and physical therapy so he can play safely and confidently this season.

Eden

Eden is an 11th-grade basketball player at Ferndale High School and competes nationally with an elite AAU program.

Eden is ranked #1 in Michigan and #14 nationally by ESPN in the Class of 2027, placing him among the top power forwards in the country. Eden has earned national recognition through USA Basketball Men’s 16U Minicamp invitations, the Nike Elite 100 Camp, and features on ESPN and major recruiting platforms. He is also a Jr. NBA Court of Leaders member and a two-time Detroit News Player of the Week nominee. Both on and off the court, Eden is widely respected for his humility, strong faith, servant leadership, and perseverance. Support from the Heart of Niko Foundation will help cover travel and training costs as he continues pursuing his collegiate and professional goals.

Cole

Cole is a 12th-grade baseball player at St. John Neumann Catholic High School and with the Florida Burn travel program.

Cole is regarded as a strong team leader and is known for his character, reliability, and positive influence on his teammates. His coach describes him as a hardworking, resolute player who brings the same dedication to his school and community. Cole is committed to play baseball at Stetson University starting in the fall of 2026. The Heart of Niko Foundation’s grant will help offset program costs so he can continue competing and growing at an elite level.

Jordan

Jordan is a 9th-grade point guard at Brother Rice High School and a member of The Family EYBL 2029 program. 

Jordan is ranked as the #1 point guard nationally in the Class of 2029 and has already earned multiple championships and MVP honors. Jordan made history as the youngest player ever to compete in the Nike EYBL 17U Peach Jam and led his team to Michigan’s first high school FIBA 3x3 championship. His coaches praise his leadership, composure, and ability to make his teammates better. Off the court, Jordan excels academically and is known for his humility, resilience, and strong character. With support from the Heart of Niko Foundation, he can continue competing at an elite level against the best competition while growing as both an athlete and a person.
